In many industrial waste gas treatment projects, spray scrubbers are installed at the front end of the system. They not only remove part of the pollutants but also cool, wash, and stabilize the exhaust gas before deep treatment.
For gas containing paint mist, acidic or alkaline components, or particulate impurities, direct entry into activated carbon adsorption or catalytic combustion equipment may cause blockage, adsorbent failure, or catalyst contamination. Spray pretreatment helps reduce these risks.
The design of a spray system should consider gas properties, tower material, nozzle type, circulating liquid treatment, and demisting structure. Proper configuration can extend downstream equipment service life and improve system stability.
